Kandace Scott, a Speech-Language Pathologist from Little Rock, Arkansas, moved to Texas from Anchorage, Alaska in 2015. As a Magna Cum Laude graduate, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders in May 2010 and her Master of Communication Disorders in December 2011 at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She is clinically certified through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Texas. Passionate about the pediatric population, Kandace has had experience working with infants to young adults in a variety of settings, including general education and self-contained elementary classes, home health, daycares, preschools, and private clinics. Her experience has given her opportunities to evaluate and treat the following diagnoses: developmental delays, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, articulation/phonology disorders, dyslexia, Cerebral Palsy, expressive/receptive language disorders, cognitive impairments, central auditory processing disorders, fluency disorders, and voice disorders. Since working at WalkEZ TalkEZ, Kandace has thoroughly enjoyed stepping out of the “traditional speech therapy” box and implementing therapy services through a motor speech perspective.
“Choosing a career that gives me the opportunity to positively impact children and their family’s lives forever is absolutely one of the best decisions I have ever made. I enjoy making therapy fun, motivating, and individualized per client in order to help children make progress towards goals and achieve milestones that will help them their entire lives.”
